Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Meisal is based in London, UK, and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us about anything on this page at the address at the foot of it.
What we collect
Your contact details and country of residence. Your professional background — qualifications, registration numbers, employment history and anything else you choose to include. Identity documents, during verification. Your bank and tax details, so we can pay you. Records of the work you submit and the hours approved. Basic technical data about how you use the site.
Why we collect it
To decide whether you are a fit for available work, to confirm you are who you say you are, to match you to projects, to pay you, and to meet our legal obligations around identity, tax and record-keeping. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Identity documents specifically
Identity and qualification documents are used solely to confirm your identity and credentials. Access is limited to the small team that runs verification. They are retained only as long as we are required to keep them, then deleted. They are never shared with clients — a client sees your professional background, never your ID.
Who we share data with
Clients see the professional information relevant to a project and the work you produce. Service providers who process payments, host our systems, or run verification see only what they need to perform that function. We share information with authorities where the law requires it. That is the complete list.
How long we keep it
Application data is kept for two years so we can approach you about later work, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Records of paid work and the associated financial data are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Identity documents are deleted once their retention period ends.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep, object to particular processing, or ask for your data in a portable format. Email us and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred, it is done under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to make the site work and to understand aggregate usage. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell analytics data.
